AGM Outcome
AGM Minutes
Held:
Wickham Park Golf Club on Friday 15th January 2010. 7:45pm.
Hon Chairman:
Matt opened the meeting at 7:45pm, welcoming members and their guests. He thanked everyone concerned for their work on the Charity Day.
Hon Secretary:
Adrian apologised for the changes in the way that HHGS events had gone and reiterated that due to his now being employed, organisation had become extremely difficult. That said he had organised the fixtures for 2010.
He stated his disappointment that the other society had failed to deliver an inter-society day but that a much more local society wished to get involved with us and that they were arranging this event. This would be discussed under new fixtures.
Adrian personally thanked the Charity committee for their hard, especially in view of the fact that we nearly pulled the plug. The Rainbow Centre had sent us a letter of gratitude and thanked us for our continued support.
Adrian will continue to share quite a bit of the organising of events this year with Mike Sinacola and Ray Cook, and wished to thank them for removing some of the burden.
Hon Treasurer:
Pete Stubbs presented the books to the members present and supplied them with a print out of the income and expenditure of the Society's main bank account. (for security reasons the figures are not shown here). He had also bought the actual books in for anyone present to check through.
Pete brought to our attention that we still have a slight excess in our funds and has recommended that we are subsidised on an event. The committee will decide which event it will be. This will probably be our Inter-society event or The New Forest.
Election of Officers:
Matthew asked if anybody else would care to stand for one of the Officer positions. No person came forward and the existing committee were unanimously voted in.
